Faux fur or sherpa: which throw to choose?
Both are soft polyester blankets. What changes is the surface you feel and the weight you carry around, so choose by where you will use it.
What the words mean
Faux fur is a polyester pile made to look and feel like fur. Sherpa is a curly, wool-like polyester pile, often on the back of a fleece blanket. Neither contains animal fur or wool.

A simple way to pick
- You want the lightest one for the sofa or to carry around: the lightest of the four is Ribbed Faux-Fur Throw.
- You want warmth for the bed: the thickest and heaviest is Angora Velvet Throw.
- You want a different texture on each side: Quilted Sherpa Throw has a quilted fleece front and a sherpa-style back.
We state weights as “about” because they can vary a little from one blanket to another. All four are 100 × 150 cm and made of polyester. See the full buying guide or the size guide.
